About

Tucked just behind Covent Garden’s lively piazza, Sandbox VR is like stepping into the future—with a rifle strapped to your shoulder and Katy Perry (well, her investment money) backing your every move.

This isn’t your average VR arcade. It’s full-body, motion-tracked, scream-at-your-friends immersive, with games that chuck you into everything from zombie-infested ghost towns to fiery dragon battles or full-blown space missions.

Groups of two to six gear up in sci-fi-style vests, sensors, and headsets, then dive into worlds like Deadwood Valley, Dragonfire, and Netflix’s very own Squid Game.

Not a fan of shootouts? There’s Star Trek: Away Mission for a slightly less trigger-happy time, or Curse of Davy Jones if you’ve got younger crew members (or just fancy being a pirate for a bit).

Post-game, relive the chaos with highlights on-screen and grab a drink while your adrenaline levels come back down to Earth.

For a night out that’s equal parts gaming, movie scene, and full-on chaos—Sandbox VR is your Covent Garden wildcard.

‘‘Great fun for groups! On the pricier side but worth it - make sure to turn up on time/early otherwise you will lose some of your game time.

We tried the Squid game option and would recommend it.

We had some technical issues during the game but the staff sorted them out quickly.

Also they have a robot that makes cocktails which is fun to watch after.’’

Our verdict

Somewhat expensive but totally fun. The place is as futuristic as it can be and the experiences are well worth the money (+ they have a robotic arms as a bartender, how cool is that!). One of the best things to do in London for young adults!
