About

You eat with your eyes—until you don’t. Dans le Noir? London flips dining on its head, inviting you to experience food in total darkness.

No peeking, no phones, no distractions—just you, your taste buds, and a completely new way to connect with flavor.

This one-of-a-kind restaurant in London has been challenging perceptions since 2006, turning a 100% darkened dining room into a playground for the senses.

Guided by blind and visually impaired hosts, guests are led to their tables, where they dive into a mystery menu designed to heighten taste, smell, and touch.

The catch? You won’t know what’s on your plate until you take that first bite.

The experience isn’t just about food—it’s about stepping into the unknown, sharing a table with strangers, and realizing how much we rely on sight to shape our world.

Whether you're after an unforgettable date night, a mind-opening meal, or just a great story to tell, Dans le Noir?

London is dining at its most bold, immersive, and thought-provoking.

Notes on pricing: cheapest option starts at £56 p/p for a 2 course meal with the most expensive being the chef menu priced at £100 p/p.

‘‘Me and my wife attended the restaurant last night and had a wonderful experience. Upon entering the dark room with our lovely host waiter Michael, it was so unusual.

I can't even begin to explain how dark it was. It genuinely looked lighter when I had my eyes closed.

Amazing skills by the visually impaired and blind staff to wait in such conditions with such skill.

Really showed how much we take for granted and though the VI and blind staff probably don't want our sympathy - they were an absolute pleasure.

The food was good, not that you can see it :p I'd highly recommend to friends and family as an experience.’
