About

Colonel Saab at Holborn Hall is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into someone’s beautiful, memory-filled home – only with much better food and no washing up.

Set inside the grand old Holborn Town Hall, this modern Indian fine dining spot is more than just a restaurant – it’s a love letter to India, stitched together from family stories, travel tales, and spice-scented nostalgia.

The interiors are seriously photogenic (think museum-meets-palace vibes), the music leans smooth and jazzy, and the dishes? They’re rich, generous, and deeply comforting.

Whether you’re tucking into koftas with a silky sauce or sipping mango lassi under vintage chandeliers, it’s hard not to be charmed.

The service is warm and full of heart – ask about the décor and they’ll tell you the stories behind it. Great for date nights, family dinners, or just when you want to be looked after in style.

Notes: Mains average around £25–30, with generous portions and excellent service to match. Afternoon tea also available from 3–4:30pm.

‘‘Absolutely amazing. I have been to several Indian restaurants, including the famous one among tourists (D something) but this one is the best so far.

The food is in generous portions so it is definitely worth the price. I paid around £28 for a curry and naan but it’s really was worth it because:

The taste is so so rich and delicious, the interior is very photogenic, and the service is attentive and friendly.
I know i am leaving reviews for people to see but I wish this place to be my secret place for a while… it was easy to book a seat too’’
