Tucked away near The Old Vic, La Barca has been serving up true Italian hospitality since the ‘70s, and it shows—in all the right ways. Think white tablecloths, warm welcomes, and a menu that doesn’t mess around.

Here, pasta is handmade and unapologetically rich, seafood arrives fresh, and the flambéed steaks, cooked tableside, bring a touch of theatre to dinner.

The star? Their signature spaghetti ai frutti di mare, sealed and cooked in a parchment bag to lock in all those deep, briny flavors.

Wine flows generously (as it should), and whether you're here for a pre-theatre meal or a slow, indulgent evening, La Barca is proof that some classics never go out of style.

What people love most: Linguine Mare Blue, Pappardelle Alla Campagniola, Tortelloni Del Buongustaio, Burschetta and the Sea Bass.

“My God !!! What a restaurant.

Visited last night for dinner with work colleagues and without any doubt had the best Italian food I have had for years.

Service was superb and the food was sublime.

All the fish tasted like we were by the ocean and the pastas were cooked perfectly.

The steak simply melted In the mouth.

I’ll be back as soon as possible.’’
